In hard economic times hard decisions need to be made, and I have decided to streamline our product line. My goal at E2E was to eventually carry a full line of products so we could be your one stop shop of sorts, but that goal isn't going to happen in a tough economy. As with all retailers, sales are slow, so I have decided to discontinue for the time being any lines that are not performing as well as I'd like.
The first item to get the ax is our backpacks, and all packs are now on clearance.
I'd also like to apologize to those who have been waiting for the Imusa mugs to come back into stock. They are not getting the ax, but I have not had time to go and get them (shipping is prohibitive, and I have to drive a ways to pick them up.) They will hopefully be back in the store soon.

We now have the Granite Gear Vapor Flash and Escape AC40 packs in stock. I've been using the Escape AC packs for about a year now and in my opinion they are the nicest carrying pack I've used in some time!

Many apologies to those folks who have been waiting for the 1.3L Evernew pots to come in. I just spoke to my rep at Evernew America and it seems that not only is the shipment delayed, but there are no 1.3L or .9L UL series cookpots in the shipment!!!!! As soon as I get word of the status of these very popular pots I will share it with you.

I finally decided to release the original Gram Weenie with a roll crimp top. This means the Gram Weenie series is completely rivet free. The new design features a slightly lower profile, and is designed to work with mugs or small cookpots. Sometime in the near future we will release the Super Gram Weenie, which is better suited for Heiney pots and those wanting to boil 16 ounces of water with a micro stove.

As many of you are aware, the items contained in this site are products I have experience with or use on my hikes. Some of the gear I carry is actually a compilation of items. Our newest additions to the gear shop revolve around my essentials kit that I carry on my person. We've added the Light My Fire Firesteel Mini, ARC Res-Q whistle, and Stanley Mitey-Knife. When you add these items together and throw in a Photon Freedom Micro you get what I call "The Bare Essentials" kit. This kit is on my person at all times when I'm on a hike, and I hope I never need it. I also have designed two smaller, more economical kits; The Bare Bones and The Bare Essentials Jr.
All the gear in the world cannot replace a cool, composed demeanor, and a well developed set of backcountry skills. That being said, these tools, when combined with that calm knowledge could make a difference in your comfort level in a tough situation.

We've added the Imusa 12cm (44oz) mug to our aluminum cookware section, and sadly, the 8cm mug is no longer in production. We still have a supply left, but when they're gone that's it.
Also, don't forget to check out our video section from time to time, as we have a list of technique videos we hope to have posted soon.

Wow, it's great to be back! So many changes have happened in the past 11 months. It's funny how that works. Thank you to our many wonderful customers who encouraged us during our leave of absence. We return with a renewed sense of dedication to the backpacking community that only your continued support could bring about. Our main focus is still ultralight, but we'll continue to bring quality, affordable gear to anyone looking to lighten their load.
